Defined, athletic male abdomen with six-pack after high-definition liposuction by Dr. Paulo Michels, Abu Dhabi

Overview

Not just thinner — defined

Male high-definition liposuction goes far beyond removing fat. By selectively sculpting the fat over and around the muscles, Dr. Paulo Michels reveals the natural anatomy underneath — the six-pack, the obliques, the serratus and the “V” of the lower abdomen.

Where a muscle needs more volume, your own fat is grafted into the muscle to enhance it — the chest, deltoids, trapezius and abdominal muscles — for a bigger, harder, more powerful frame that still looks completely natural.

Everything is done with VASER, real-time ultrasound guidance and subdermal plasma skin tightening, so the etching is crisp, the skin is tight, and the result holds.

High-definition etching

Revealing the athletic anatomy

VASER lets Dr. Paulo Michels work precisely in the deep and superficial layers to define the muscle borders — the difference between simply flatter and genuinely ripped.

{{ic-core}}

The six-pack

Sculpting the fat between and around the rectus abdominis to define the horizontal and vertical lines of a natural six-pack.

{{ic-waist}}

Obliques & the “V”

Etching the oblique lines and the lower-abdomen “V” (the adonis lines) for that tapered, athletic core.

{{ic-layers}}

Flanks & love handles

Removing the stubborn fat over the flanks and lower back that hides the taper — the single biggest change for most men.

Muscle augmentation

Building the frame with your own fat (UGRAFT)

Etching alone reveals what is there. To make a muscle bigger and harder, Dr. Paulo Michels grafts your own purified fat directly into it — a natural, permanent way to augment the masculine frame.

{{ic-core}}

Rectus abdominis

Fat grafted into the abdominal muscle makes the six-pack stand out more — deeper, more sculpted definition.

{{ic-waist}}

Obliques

Augmenting the obliques strengthens the athletic taper of the waist and the side-abdominal lines.

{{ic-heart}}

Pectorals

Grafting into the chest builds a fuller, more defined pec and a stronger upper-chest line.

{{ic-spark}}

Deltoids

Fat added to the shoulders makes them rounder and broader — widening the frame and the shoulder-to-waist ratio.

{{ic-shield}}

Trapezius

Augmenting the traps adds power to the neck-and-shoulder line for a stronger, more imposing upper body.

Arms

Definition and, where wanted, subtle volume to complete a balanced, muscular silhouette.

An honest starting point

Liposuction is contouring — not weight loss

There are two very different kinds of belly fat, and liposuction can only sculpt one of them. Knowing which you carry is the key to a realistic result — and to whether a six-pack is achievable.

Abdominal cross-section showing visceral fat, the deep fat around the organs that liposuction cannot treat
Visceral fatDeep, around the organs — liposuction cannot reach it
{{ic-layers}}

Subcutaneous fat — what we sculpt

The fat between the skin and the muscle. This is the layer that hides the six-pack, and the layer HD liposuction removes and etches to expose the muscle definition underneath.

{{ic-core}}

Visceral fat — what it cannot

The fat deep inside, around the organs, behind the muscle wall. It makes a hard, protruding belly and no surgery can reach it — only diet, training and metabolic health. Men with mostly visceral fat need to reduce it first.

The technique

VASER, ultrasound and plasma — why the etching holds

High-definition results live or die by the tools and the precision. Dr. Paulo Michels combines three technologies so the definition is crisp, safe and lasting.

{{ic-wave}}

The etching

VASER ultrasound

Ultrasound liquefies fat precisely in both the deep and superficial planes — the control needed to etch muscle borders cleanly while sparing nerves and vessels.

{{ic-shield}}

The safety & the grafting

Real-time ultrasound guidance

Ultrasound lets Dr. Paulo Michels see the muscle layers as he works — essential for accurate etching and for grafting fat safely into the muscle for augmentation.

{{ic-spark}}

The skin

Subdermal plasma tightening

Plasma energy makes the skin retract tightly onto the new contour — crucial for HD, because loose skin blurs the etching. Tight skin keeps every line sharp.

Where it works

The areas men ask for most

Treated alone or as a complete upper-body sculpt for a balanced, powerful frame.

{{ic-heart}}

Chest & gynecomastia

Flattening and defining the chest — and, where there is true gland (gynecomastia), removing it for a firm, masculine pec.

{{ic-layers}}

Back & flanks

Clearing the lower-back and flank fat that hides the V-taper — often the most transformative single area.

{{ic-spark}}

Neck & jawline

Refining a double chin and sharpening the jawline for a leaner, stronger profile.

Our philosophy

Hard, powerful — and unmistakably natural.

Recovery

What is the recovery timeline?

HD liposuction is more detailed than standard liposuction, so aftercare matters — the compression garment and lymphatic care protect the definition.

  1. First few days

    Soreness like a very hard workout, with some fluid drainage that settles quickly. You are up and walking the same day.

  2. Desk work

    Most men return to desk work in about 5–7 days, depending on how physical the job is.

  3. Compression & foam

    A compression garment (often with foam) is worn for 6–8 weeks to control swelling and keep the etched lines sharp — the most important part of an HD result.

  4. Training

    Light cardio builds back gradually; full weight training resumes at around 4–6 weeks.

  5. Final result

    Swelling resolves and the definition sharpens over 3–6 months as the tissues settle and grafted fat establishes.

Candidacy

Am I a good candidate?

  • Already reasonably fit, with existing muscle to reveal and augment
  • Mostly subcutaneous fat rather than a hard, visceral belly
  • Close to a stable weight; this is definition, not weight loss
  • Committed to training and diet to keep the result
  • Healthy and a non-smoker, or able to stop around surgery

Good to know

What to understand first

  • Muscle definition needs muscle — HD reveals and augments, it does not build strength
  • Visceral fat must be reduced by diet and training first
  • Plasma tightens skin so the etching stays sharp
  • Grafted fat into muscle is natural and long-lasting
  • The compression programme protects the definition

Honest risks

What to weigh

HD liposuction is safe in experienced hands, with honest trade-offs: swelling and bruising that settle over weeks, temporary numbness or firmness, a small chance of contour irregularity or uneven etching (minimised by VASER, plasma and ultrasound), variable take of grafted fat, and the normal healing risks — all discussed fully at your consultation.

FAQ

Male HD liposuction, answered

Will HD liposuction give me a six-pack?

If the muscle is there and the fat is mostly subcutaneous, yes. VASER etches the fat around the rectus abdominis to reveal the six-pack, and fat grafted into the muscle can make it stand out further. It reveals and enhances muscle — it does not build strength.

Can you make my muscles bigger?

Yes, with fat grafting (UGRAFT). Your own purified fat is injected into a muscle — abdominals, obliques, pectorals, deltoids or trapezius — to add natural, long-lasting volume for a bigger, harder, broader frame.

Do I need to already be in shape?

Ideally yes. HD liposuction reveals and augments the muscle you have, so the best results are on men who already train and are close to a stable weight. It is definition and sculpting, not weight loss.

What if my belly is hard and sticks out?

That is often visceral fat, deep around the organs, which no liposuction can remove. It must be reduced first with diet and training. Only the subcutaneous fat between skin and muscle can be sculpted — an honest assessment tells you which you have.

Will the definition last?

Yes, with maintenance. The removed fat cells are gone, and plasma keeps the skin tight so the lines stay sharp. Keeping a stable weight and training preserves the result; significant weight gain will still blur it.

Can you treat man boobs (gynecomastia) at the same time?

Yes. Chest fat is sculpted with liposuction, and true breast gland (gynecomastia) is removed in the same operation for a firm, flat, masculine chest — often combined with pectoral definition.

What is the recovery like?

Most men return to desk work in about 5–7 days and to full training at around 4–6 weeks. A compression garment is worn for 6–8 weeks to keep the etching sharp, and the definition refines over 3–6 months.

Are there scars?

No meaningful ones. Everything is done through a few millimetre-sized ports placed in discreet creases, which heal to near-invisible.
